Journalism Internship in Ghana

Discover a land loaded with thought-provoking stories & remarkable photographic opportunities as you work for a daily newspaper, television station or radio station based in Ghana, West Africa.

Kumasi, based just outside the capital of Ghana is the perfect place for budding journalists to gain experience in print & broadcast journalism. A key democratic state of West Africa, Ghana has established itself as a powerhouse of politics & has proven that there is always something worth writing about in this lively city.

Our Journalism internships provide an insider’s view on how print publications are run and provide you with the opportunity to create an impressive portfolio to take back home. Furthermore, our Radio & Television journalism placements offer you the chance to gain invaluable broadcasting or production experience designed to enhance your CV and increase your prospects within the highly competitive journalism industry.

All interns will be representing a professional organization under the supervision of experienced journalists. Just as in any journalism environment workloads can be very demanding but also highly rewarding.
The journalism internship program will improve your skills in editing, copywriting, reporting, interviewing, researching, communication and more! Work alongside some of Ghana’s leading journalists and reporters who are there to offer you guidance throughout your placement.

As an intern on one of our Print Journalism placements, you will get an insider’s view of how publications are run, and you will also have the chance to put together an impressive portfolio. Alternatively, a Radio or Television Journalism placement offers you the chance to gain useful broadcasting or production experience.

You also have the opportunity to get involved with schools and sports academies to teach classes in media, creative writing and the rudiments of journalism. Give something back to the community and inspire Ghana’s children!
